“Strokes The Golf Shop” was taken over in October 2018 by John and Liane Philip after John took over the position of Head Professional here at Golf Club Kampenhout. Both have lived and worked in Kampenhout for many years with John being the Assistant Teaching Professional here for 14 years and Liane working as a Dental Assistant. They now look forward to their new venture together, running Strokes The Golf Shop and Driving Range.

John has been a Teaching Professional since 1998. He first started his career at the young age of 17, in Scotland. There he qualified as a member of the world famous British PGA. John arrived at Golf Club Kampenhout in 2004. During his years here, he has specialised in teaching our growing Junior & Starters groups. However, being an active player, he still holds a passion for teaching advanced golfers.

John works towards creating the most effective way to play the game, no matter the age or physical capabilities. As part of his teaching method he employs extensive use of computer & video analysis.

Since his arrival here, John has thoroughly enjoyed his experience and is now excited to take on and fill his new position of Head Professional.

Alex is our homegrown Belgian PGA member. He received much of his training at the well renowned Golf Club of Royal Waterloo. Alex is giving lessons to all levels of golfers and together with John, teaches our up and coming Junior group and Starters. In his few years here, he has already earned himself a fine reputation for his enthusiasm and modern approach to his teaching.
